Salary: $64,286.25 - 80,377.5 per year Requirements:

• Were seeking a bachelors degree in Technical Communications or a technical field such as engineering or science, plus five years of related experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
• We require at least five years of aerospace technical writing experience creating technical manuals and service documents.
• We expect a strong understanding of FAA regulations and guidance covering aircraft operations, maintenance, and design certification, including 14 CFR Parts 91, 135, 43, 21, 23, 25, 27, and 29.
• Were looking for knowledge of aircraft systems and technical documentation, including maintenance and flight or operator manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, and installation instructions.
• We require strong technical writing and editing skills, knowledge of regulatory requirements and aerospace writing specifications such as ATA, GAMA, and S1000D, and excellent written and verbal English and grammar.
• We need someone able to interpret 2-D drawings, 3-D solid models, engineering specifications, and maintenance procedures, and to collaborate with subject matter experts to make technical information clear and concise.
• We value attention to detail, strong organization, prioritization and multitasking skills, effective time management, and the ability to meet deadlines and accurately estimate task effort.
• We look for a commitment to continuous learning and improvement of work processes and deliverables.
• We require proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, and Teams; experience with CAD and data management systems is also needed, with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SolidWorks PDM, Siemens TeamCenter, and Dassault Enovia preferred.
• We expect proficiency with industry content management tools, such as Adobe FrameMaker.
• No certificates, licenses, or registrations are required. We prefer affiliations with aerospace standards organizations such as ASTM, SAE, or GAMA, and ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English accreditation or equivalent.
• We require regular scheduled attendance, subject to applicable laws and our employment policies.

• We rely on you to research and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents, then create and maintain publications for Air Methods and United Rotorcraft products.
• Youll work independently and with colleagues to develop technical manuals, including AFM, AMM/ICA, CMM, WDM, and SRM, as well as service documents using engineering, manufacturing, and supplier data.
• Youll support our Certification, Engineering, and other departments by preparing, formatting, and editing documents in line with company procedures and applicable regulatory and industry guidance.
• Youll review technical documents for accuracy and consistency and help us continually improve them.
• Youll create and maintain procedures, style guides, and templates for generating technical content.
• Youll develop, maintain, and deliver training for technical content generators, reviewers, and users.
• Youll provide estimated hours for assigned tasks and perform other duties as assigned.

Based in Englewood, Colorado, we design and modify mission-critical aircraft for air medical, firefighting, military, law enforcement, and other specialized operations. As our Technical Writer, youll help support the safe operation and maintenance of our aircraft through documentation developed with our engineering and certification teams. The annual pay range is $64,286.25–$80,377.50, with actual compensation based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
