Doe Fisher (raised Doreen Fisher in Vienna, MO) has been a musician and performer since she was a toddler, dressing up and performing for her family and friends with her two sisters. She started playing flute when she was in 4th grade and took to the instrument quickly and with passion, often getting lost in her practice times for hours at a time. She started acting when she was in high school and knew that performance was in her blood. Although offered a scholarship in music, Doreen took a detour and pursued a career in the legal field. In 1995, Doreen was diagnosed with a severe hearing loss and was fitted with hearing aids, seemingly the end to any aspirations she had to renew her path to music. But…the pull to music never relented. Having always attracted musicians in her life and encouraging their careers in music, it was a sure sign of her true desire to pursue music herself. Just after turning 30, she met her life partner Jonathan Fisher, a professional acoustic bass player and a consummate professional musician. Jonathan bought Doreen a guitar and her journey through music began once again. It was not long after that when Doreen asked her spirit for guidance as to why she was here and was given an amazing dream where she was flying (guitar in hand) through a deep forest over an amphitheatre loaded with musical equipment and with a line of cars driving to the “show”. Since then, it has been a journey to pursue her life’s work with a passion. Doreen has renewed her passion for the flute and added acoustic and electric guitar, piano, and voice to the mix (so far). She plays flute and sings backup vocals every Sunday at the Agape Center for Spiritual Living in Frisco, TX, is writing and composing music with her husband and her children and playing retreats and conferences with the intention of uplifting her audiences and helping them to realize the power of their choices and to see their true light within. It is also Doreen’s intention to inspire others to dream big and pursue their dreams regardless of the seeming obstacles in their path.
Doe lives in Dallas, TX with her amazingly talented husband Jonathan (www.fmacoustic.com), their two bright shining stars Mila and Stone, their cat Sammy and rabbit Tibblet.
